1. Maybe Obama wouldn’t be so easy to paint in any and every color if he actually clarified his views and took a stand on something. Granted he took took a great stand when he didn’t vote for the war; since running for office he has been too careful to make no statement that might turn any sizable contingent of the American public away from him. When you are purposely vague in your intentions you can avoid controversy, and people project whatever answers they want to hear coming from you.
